Life impacts all of us, and impacts us all differently.  These impacts can occur at each life change, transition, event, memory-in-the-making, or even on a regular Tuesday.  However, what can make the difference between potential overwhelming feelings and feeling of being in control can be one thing: balance.  This is the balance to give yourself extra time to cope, process and/or experience these events.  In our time together, I can help you to locate that balance and utilize it in your day-to-day life.

Every person is an individual, and we all have good days and bad days so when meeting with anyone I take each day, each session, and each person as they come and we can go from there.  I like to utilize empathy and genuine respect while I customize sessions to each person so they can get the most out of their experience.

I am a Licensed Social Worker, hold two Bachelor’s degrees (in Psychology and in Family and Individual Development) a Master’s degree in Social Work and have been in the healthcare industry for the entirety of my working career.  With that, I am humbled to be able to say I have benefited from experience in a multitude of different settings with a wide range of clients and am proud to say this has played a huge part in where I am today.  I love being able to help people find their inner strength, confidence, passion, balance and inner truths.

I have done individual counseling, case management, group counseling, crisis counseling, management, advocacy work, work trainings and public speaking/training events.  I am an active member if the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and have done trainings for the Illinois chapter and have spoken at three healthcare symposiums in regards to stress and coping skills/techniques; I would love to continue helping people cope with their stress as I have been active in this so far.

In addition to helping you live your best life, I am an Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor. If you required an assessment for substance use or want to work on maintaining a life not controlled by substances, I can help.

Being able to benefit from my various work experiences, I am always focused on being an empathetic, non-judgmental ear; I would love to be able to connect with you and help you find what you’re looking for.

If you would like to begin your journey, send an email through the contact page or call confidentially at 847.220.1442 and request to see me.
