I believe that we all have within us the ability to be happy.  Sometimes the journey to happiness is long and filled with adversities.  I am honored to be a part of your journey, no matter what path that may take.

Creating a safe and comfortable space where you can share you hopes and fears is what I do best. Finding your best self is hard work and it takes courage and strength.  Your capacity to change and grow is just waiting to show itself. Reading this, you are taking the first step.

I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Illinois with more than 25 years of experience working with individuals, families and groups.  I have a passion for working with diversity and have many years of experience working with immigrant communities in Illinois.  I am honored to work with domestic violence survivors and their families.

Families in transition through recent immigration, aging parents, loss and grief are all areas of my expertise. I am fully bilingual in Spanish and English and have raised my sons in a bi-cultural home.  I am very solution focused yet compassionate in my approach and tailor my work to each individual clientso their goals are achieved

I am a graduate of Jane Addams School of Social Work with a Masters from University of Illinois at Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa.
